The Litany of Humility is a Catholic prayer intended to help those who are struggling with the sins of pride, so, they can learn and be granted the virtue of humility through this prayer.
This litany is not recited during liturgical services of the Catholic Church, but recited in private, in a prayer group, or in a home setting with family members.
To be honest, I only learned about it yesterday, while I was looking for some other Catholic topics. That’s why I want to share it with you, just in case you haven’t heard of this prayer, yet, like me.
And I believe that stumbling into this wonderful prayer was not an accident, because God knows that I needed it.
God wants to help me control my natural inclinations for love of material goods that are only giving me false security.
Instead, He wants my restless self to learn this beautiful prayer, so that slowly, I may learn the difficult virtue of humility. And to make me realize that the inordinate love of attention is not good at all.
